When I was sixteen years old, I discovered for myself the joy of drawing. I began to question my previous way of seeing things, and went on to develop a fresh perspective on the world. In particular, the paintings of the impressionists and classical modernists inspired me to seek out my own pictorial language. Drawing has also sparked my great interest in signs and all things symbolic, in scriptural forms and geometry. In my search for the reality hidden behind the visible, drawing also represents for me a dialogue with the ineffable.
